If I could sum up Erin & Matt’s wedding in one word, I would have to keep it simple and just say “love.”
Yes, most weddings are a display of love between a happy couple: two people stand in front of their community and commit themselves to one another for the rest of their lives. It’s pretty romantic stuff.
On Erin & Matt’s special day, the love didn’t just show up during their vows – it was flowing all over the place! You can see it in their photos – there was an over-abundance of laughter, embraces, cuddles, and a few funky dance moves, too boot.
Which makes sense, given how down-to-earth these two are. When we talked about their wedding many moons ago, they called themselves “non-traditional.” In fact, the only real requirements they had for the big day were that it be convenient for their guests, and with a hint of silliness.
Both of which they definitely managed to achieve.
Warm-hearted speeches and a dance party to rival the best I’ve seen in my years attending weddings were just a couple of elements that made this wedding so community-oriented and sweet.
The marriage ceremony and reception were held at Morgan Creek Golf Course in South Surrey. The day was picture-perfect (luckily for me), and everything had a simple-yet-lovely aspect to it. Erin’s family even made most of the decorations!
But more than the details, what will always stick with me about this wedding is Erin’s infectious smile, the way her husband looked at her… and how their love inspired everyone else’s!
Congrats to the happy couple, and best wishes for your future!
